We are seeking a Senior Avionics Test Engineer to join our Avionics team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience working with complex electro-mechanical systems in aerospace or a related field. We are looking for a generalist who will contribute to several roles in a fast-paced environment. For individuals seeking employment at our Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport facility, employment is contingent upon you obtaining and maintaining a TSA authorized security badge. Responsibilities
- Develop hardware-in-the-loop test equipment
- Troubleshoot test failures
- Support testing of Avionics systems and components across hardware and software including environmental qualification.
- Write test plans and procedures
- Document design issues and work with engineering teams to resolve
- Support avionics production
- Execute system checkouts on the integrated vehicle
- Provide delegate Functional Leadership as required
- Work collaboratively to achieve goals and/or complete assigned tasks
- Must have a B.Sc. Engineering degree from an accredited university
- Experience with component and system-level testing
- Experience developing test benches
- Experience documenting wiring schematics
- LabVIEW and/or Python development skills
- Experience with NI Veristand a plus
- Experience with Environmental/Electrical Qualification standards such as RTCA-DO160, Mil-STD 461
- 8 or more years of relevant integration and testing experience in aerospace or similar field
- Experience with embedded system hardware and software
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and written communication skills
- Experience with leading and mentoring Junior Engineers
- Demonstrate willingness to adjust thinking and behavior.
- Ability to communicate in a manner that is timely, respectful, and open to other ideas
