Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and machinery within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment reliability and performance through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely corrective actions, supporting efficient and safe operations.
This individual will utilize maintenance management systems to track work orders, document maintenance activities, and support scheduled preventive maintenance programs. A strong attention to detail is required to ensure that all equipment used in the manufacturing process is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Utilize the Maintenance System software for Work orders and Preventive Maintenance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and equipment issues in a timely manner
- Repair and maintain production machinery and related systems
- Respond to equipment issues to minimize downtime and support operations
- Utilize maintenance software to manage work orders, complete preventive maintenance tasks, and document repairs and maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and system updates
- Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend improvements
- Suggest upgrades or modifications to improve machine performance and reliability
- Support efforts to improve maintenance processes and equipment efficiency
- Monitor maintenance inventory and report supply needs
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical equipment and systems
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on production machinery
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Ability to follow work orders, maintenance schedules, and documentation processes
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- HVAC experience highly preferred
- Electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
- Experience working with production or packaging equipment preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Travel less than 20% (Local)
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Must be able to sit/stand for up to 10 hours.
- Walking, bending, light lifting up to 60 lbs.
