We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a progressive mental health practice, providing advanced care and overseeing site operations. This NP role combines hands-on clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring staff, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality care across the site. The ideal candidate is passionate about innovative mental health treatments and committed to guiding a team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
What you will be doing:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for advanced treatments, therapy, both on-site and via telehealth.
- Provide ongoing patient care, monitor treatment progress, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Manage medications safely and effectively as part of individualized treatment plans.
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to on-site staff, including nurse practitioners, support staff, and care coordinators.
- Oversee daily operations of the site to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to clinical standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical directors and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
- Participate in strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives for the site.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you must have:
- Valid and current NY state license as a Nurse Practitioner with specialization in mental health care. (PMHNP)
- Proven experience in psychiatric assessments and treatment within mental health clinics or similar settings.
- Strong understanding of innovative mental health treatments, including psychedelic-assisted therapies.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including overseeing staff and site operations.
