Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Maintain impeccable floor care by sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing various flooring types to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Follow established protocols for industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, including the use of specialized equipment for deep cleaning projects.
- Adhere to health and safety standards by properly handling cleaning chemicals and maintaining a clean workspace to prevent hazards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial work; hotel or hospitality experience is highly preferred, but not necessary.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and industrial cleaning equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving furniture or supplies.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Familiarity with custodial practices within hospitality or institutional settings is advantageous.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience in housekeeping management or supervising staff is a plus but not required.
