hours:
1st shift - 6 am-2:30 p.m,
2nd shift - 2:15 pm-10:45 pm,
3rd shift - 10:30p-7a
We are looking for someone available to pick up 3–4 shifts per week.
Position Summary:
The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) plays a critical role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to residents in our long-term care facility. STNAs assist with daily living activities, support resident independence, and work closely with nursing staff to ensure residents’ health, comfort, and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding
Assist residents with mobility, turning, positioning, and transferring
Accurately measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight)
Observe and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional condition tothe nursing staff
Support residents in maintaining personal dignity, privacy, and a safe environment
Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge processes
Ensure cleanliness and proper use of equipment and resident rooms
Follow infection control and safety procedures in accordance with facility policies
Participate in care planning and team meetings as needed
Respond to resident calls promptly and courteously
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
Qualifications:
Current Ohio STNA certification (or applicable state certification) in good standing
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents and equipment as needed
Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
