Position Summary:
The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) provides high-quality, compassionate care to patients and residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). The STNA assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitors patient condition, and supports the nursing team in maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Support
Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure) accurately and promptly.
Observe and report changes in residents’ condition or behavior to the nurse on duty.
Assist in repositioning, ambulating, and transferring residents using proper body mechanics and lifting equipment.
Ensure residents’ rooms and common areas are clean, organized, and safe.
Maintain residents’ dignity and privacy while delivering care according to facility standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Current State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in good standing with the [State] Nurse Aide Registry.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift, move, and transport residents safely and perform physically demanding tasks.
