Key Responsibilities:
Receiving:
- Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
- Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies.
- Label and store materials appropriately in the warehouse.
- Update inventory records to reflect received goods.
Shipping:
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Generate shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing lists.
- Maintain records of all shipments for traceability.
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain organized storage areas to facilitate efficient retrieval.
- Assist in inventory audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Equipment Operation:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and report any malfunctions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx).
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (certification preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Working Conditions:
- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
