Job Type: Full-TimeJob OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to support daily shipping, receiving, packaging, and material-handling operations. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming shipments, verifying materials and quantities, preparing outgoing orders, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring products are properly packaged and shipped on time.The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while supporting overall warehouse and manufacturing operations.Responsibilities and Duties- Unload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify received materials against purchase orders, engineering specifications, and quality requirements.
- Count incoming items and report shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies.
- Complete receiving paperwork and submit documentation for quality review when required.
- Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory information into the designated computer system.
- Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments to meet delivery schedules.
- Pull, package, and verify customer orders before shipment.
- Assist with customer pickups and direct shipments and obtain required signatures.
- Prepare shipping labels, packing lists, and other necessary shipping documents.
- Verify orders and paperwork before products leave the facility.
- Assist with assembling, kitting, and packaging parts and products as needed.
- Read and follow technical drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Maintain shipping tools, equipment, fixtures, and packaging supplies.
- Identify defective or damaged materials and follow established procedures for reporting them.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, booms, and other authorized material-handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain and organize the raw material yard and storage areas.
- Keep the work area clean and organized in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Use good judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve daily shipping and receiving issues.
Qualifications- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or blueprints is a plus.
- Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and maintaining an organized work environment.
Compensation and Schedule- Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: First shift / day shift.
- Employment: Full-time.
