Key Responsibilities:
- Install, program, maintain, and troubleshoot alarm systems, including intrusion, fire, access control, and video surveillance systems.
- Lead on-site project execution and ensure quality control standards are met.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Program and configure alarm control panels and associated equipment.
- Train and supervise apprentice or junior technicians.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal team members.
- Ensure all work is compliant with local codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all job sites.
Requirements:
- Valid Electrical License (Class L6, C6, or higher equivalent).
- Proven experience in the alarm or low-voltage industry.
- Strong understanding of alarm systems, wiring methods, and panel programming.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (hot and cold environments).
- Comfortable climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and handling the physical demands of the job.
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and independent thinking.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening, if required.
- Work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NICET or other industry certifications.
- Manufacturer-specific training (Honeywell, Vista, DMP, DSC, Silent Knight, Fire Lite, Bosch, etc.).
- Fire alarm installation experience.
- Experience with commercial systems.
