Duties
- Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and administering medications as needed.
- Handle animal restraint and behavior management to ensure safety during grooming, and boarding.
- Perform kennel sanitization and maintain cleanliness standards to promote a healthy environment for pets and staff.
- Assist with pet grooming and pet boarding services to ensure animals are comfortable and well-cared-for.
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing payments.
- Maintain accurate records of animal intake and client information with attention to detail.
- Support team lifting efforts when handling large or heavy animals or supplies safely and efficiently.
Skills
- Previous animal experience or background in veterinary, boarding, animal care is required.
- Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling enhances your ability to connect with pets and owners alike.
- Strong customer service skills to create positive interactions with clients and visitors.
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and behavior understanding to ensure safety for pets and staff.
- Ability to perform outdoor work comfortably while caring for animals in various environments.
- Proficiency in cleaning protocols specific to pet care facilities to ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, team lifting, and outdoor activities necessary for animal care tasks.
- Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and pet boarding procedures is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills combined with patience and compassion for animals of all temperaments.
