Automotive Service Advisor Responsibilities

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you'll serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet customers promptly and professionally


• Schedule service appointments


• Write accurate repair orders (ROs)


• Listen carefully to customer concerns and document vehicle issues


• Recommend factory maintenance and additional services


• Prepare estimates for parts and labor


• Obtain customer approvals


• Communicate repair progress and timelines


• Coordinate repairs with technicians and dispatch


• Review completed repairs with customers


• Process repair orders accurately


• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining high CSI scores


• Build lasting customer relationships that encourage repeat business

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Automotive Service Advisor experience


• At least 1 year of dealership experience required


• Subaru experience is a plus


• Strong sales and customer service skills


• Excellent verbal and written communication


• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment


• Strong organizational skills


• Computer proficiency


• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
