We are seeking an experienced Pricing & Contracts leader to oversee end‑to‑end pricing strategy, commercial contracting, and margin management. This is a highly visible role with ownership of profitability, pricing governance, and cross‑functional collaboration in a fast‑paced environment.
This role is responsible for all aspects of commercial contracts and pricing operations, including contract language, terms, protection clauses, pricing structures, inventory limits, rebates, returns, shelf stock, addendums, offers, discontinuation notices, and price changes in response to market dynamics. The position manages full‑line bids, retractions, bid updates, system load‑ins, reporting, historical pricing analysis, customer challenges, manufacturer trends, and overall contract maintenance to ensure compliance.
The role has full ownership of P&Ls and margin management for both new and existing business, reviewing and assessing customer price requests, RFPs, and bids while balancing product strategy, market conditions, customer relationships, and profitability. This position serves as the lead for pricing committee reviews when pricing falls below defined margin thresholds, establishes new best pricing, or supports other significant pricing actions. Ongoing review of commercial business performance, coordination with pricing services, list pricing management, and State Price Transparency Reporting are core responsibilities.
Additional scope includes oversight of retail and institutional generic, animal health, and 505(b)(2) portfolios; maintaining and updating SOPs related to pricing and contracting; leading and coaching direct reports on the pricing and contracts team; partnering with IT to manage and maintain the bid management system; and supporting ad hoc projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Pharmaceutical and/or generics experience preferred
- Excellent Excel and Word skills required
- Extensive experience with SAP and Vistex strongly preferred
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex data
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Self‑starter comfortable operating with minimal supervision
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and thrive in a fast‑paced setting
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be 18 years of age or older
Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
