About The Role
As we continue to grow our organization, we are looking to add an Account Coordinator to our team!
Violet PR is seeking a full-time PR professional to support our growing boutique PR firm based in Montclair, NJ. We’re looking for a fun, energetic go-getter who’s passionate about news, writing, media relations and social media. The new hire will support a diverse range of clients in fields including economic development, commercial real estate, and professional services. We are a hybrid company working from our Montclair office three (3) days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Researching and drafting news releases, pitches, fact sheets, media advisories, social media content, etc.
- Researching target media lists using Cision and the Internet; working with the team to come up with new ideas to reach targeted media outlets
- Pitching media by email or phone to national, regional and trade journalists, across print, broadcast and online
- Social media management, including implementation of social media campaigns for multiple clients on platforms including LinkedIn.
- Researching speaking opportunities and editorial calendars for client opportunities
- Monitoring media coverage and reporting results to the wider team and clients
Job Requirements:
- 1-2 year of PR agency or journalism experience, or relevant internship experience.
- Bachelors degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field
- Exceptional work ethic and motivated to excel in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in public policy, economic development and real estate.
- Detail oriented and able to coordinate/participate in numerous projects in an organized manner.
- Ability to work well within a boutique team in a fun, collaborative and creative setting.
- Social media experience with launching/maintaining successful campaigns implemented using LinkedIn.
Salary range $45,000-$50,000
