This organization produces precision components critical to air-cooled heat exchanger systems used in refineries, power plants, and industrial facilities worldwide.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in multi-spindle screw machines, including ACME, Wickman, or similar equipment. Experience with Ace machines is preferred but not required.
This role is designed for someone who brings more than operational skill. The ideal candidate is someone who can operate, program, and lead—combining hands-on technical expertise with the ability to guide others, influence production outcomes, and elevate performance on the floor.
This is a high-priority hire with an expedited interview process for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, configure, and operate multi-spindle screw machines such as ACME and Wickman
Program and adjust machines to optimize production efficiency and accuracy
Load raw materials and install appropriate tooling based on job specifications
Monitor tool wear and proactively replace tooling to maintain quality standards
Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other instruments
Conduct first article inspections to ensure adherence to exact specifications
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve processes
Troubleshoot equipment issues and make real-time adjustments to minimize downtime
Accurately document machine settings, tooling changes, and production output
Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to other operators
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
Minimum of 5 years operating and setting up ACME or Wickman multi-spindle screw machines
Experience with Ace machines is a plus
Demonstrated experience contributing beyond operation, including programming and informal or formal leadership on the production floor
Skills
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints
Proficiency with precision measuring tools
Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, cams, gears, and thread rolling setups
Ability to sharpen tooling and calculate feed rates and RPMs
Experience or capability in programming multi-spindle screw machines
Proven ability to lead, mentor, or support other operators in a production environment
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork abilities
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist in machine repair when needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift 10–50 lbs throughout the shift
Comfort working in industrial environments including heat, noise, and dust
Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends based on production needs
