The Viola School District is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-centered Preschool Paraprofessional to support early childhood students and classroom instruction. This position works closely with the preschool teacher to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth of young learners. Candidates should enjoy working with children, demonstrate patience and professionalism, and be committed to helping students succeed.
Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. The district is willing to work with qualified candidates who are committed to completing the required coursework. Previous experience working with young children or in a school setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities include assisting with classroom instruction and activities, supervising students, helping maintain classroom organization and cleanliness, supporting student behavior and daily routines, assisting with meals and restroom needs as necessary, preparing classroom materials, and helping create a positive and nurturing preschool environment. The paraprofessional may also assist with student assessments, parent communication, and other duties assigned by the classroom teacher or administration.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, reliability, teamwork, flexibility, and a genuine passion for early childhood education. Candidates must be able to pass all required background checks and meet Arkansas Department of Education requirements for employment.
