What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at VIOLA LLC?
Dishwashers work to take on some janitorial and supportive kitchen tasks; washing dishes and appliances, emptying trash receptacles, scrubbing floors and restocking items. They also perform other tasks to ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are clean and prepared for guests.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Ensuring availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans and flatware
- Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, pans, mixers, etc.
- Unloading and storing deliveries
- Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled
- Taking out trash and rinsing garbage cans
- Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks as needed
- Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures
- Contribute to restaurant performance through positive attitude and team cooperation
- Ensure 100 percent compliance with all Company policies and laws, including health and safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimal work experience
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Solid time management skills
- Ability to stand or walk for 8 hour shifts and lift at least 60 pounds on a regular basis
- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures
