Bag House Helper

***Must know how to drive a forklift***

***Must be okay wearing a half facepiece respirator for 5-6 hours per day***

Position Overview:

Operate the bag house collection systems and related equipment, maintaining good house keeping assisting area mechanics perform preventive and corrective maintenance in all machinery as needed, cleaning and inspecting on a daily basis all pieces of equipment in their areas, insure that the safety and environmental practices and procedures are followed on a consistent manner, prevent accidents and report unsafe or damaged equipment

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

(PERFORM) Preventive and corrective maintenance on area equipment

(MAINTAIN) Clean, organized and safe work area

(OPERATE) Bag house equipment

(VERIFY) Dust collection equipment is functioning properly.

(REPORT) Environmental incidents, fill out daily reports

(MOVE) Collected dust into the rail cars

(CHECK) Conditions of filter bags, bag house dust conatiners

(USE) Safety equipment, forklift, man lift

(PREPARE) Spare parts and equipments

(REQUIRE) Missing spare parts, tools and equipments for the next maintenance

(CLEAN AND STORE) Personal protective equipment (face mask, glasses, gloves, overall, hardhat, safety boots, harness)

(FOLLOW) Environmental and Safety practices and procedures

(CONTRIBUTE) With ideas on how to make their job safer, easier , more reliable and how can we reduce cost

(FOLLOW) Procedures of the quality system (ISO 9001:2000 Norm) 14001

(DO, APPLY, AND PROVIDE) The requiremnts of the ArcelorMittal Vinton Management System

(WORK EXPERIENCE) Able to perform hard physical labor

(SKILLS) Use of mechanical tools & electronic devices , receive and follow directions
