What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology and Applications Teacher position at Vinton County Local School District?
The Technology and Applications teacher is required to provide Technology and Engineering instruction to middle school students, with the aim of creating an interest in the subject amongst students and inspiring them to create, construct, build, and experiment.Responsibilities Develop and implement Technology/STEM curricula Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans, assignments, and instructional materials tostudents in a safe and appropriate manner. Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students. Prepare, administer, and evaluate all required formative and summative assessments. Present, demonstrate, and use various educational technologies to aid in sharing subject matter with students.
Develop Technology/STEM learning activities and hands-on material for classes. Plan and organize competitions and contests.Qualifications and experience: Bachelor's or higher degree in a related field of studies with relevant specialization preferred. At least five years of teaching experience working with children and adolescents. Current/Active Ohio Teaching License Excellent written and verbal communication.
Good classroom management skills. Empathy and excellent interpersonal skills.
