About the Role:
The Property Manager will oversee the daily operations and management of residential properties, with a strong focus on affordable housing communities across the United States. This role is responsible for ensuring properties are maintained to high standards, tenants’ needs are met promptly, and all regulatory requirements, including fair housing laws, are strictly adhered to. The Property Manager will coordinate lease administration, manage vendor relationships, and conduct regular building inspections to maintain property integrity and safety. They will also utilize property management software such as Yardi Systems to streamline operations, track financials, and maintain accurate records. Ultimately, this position aims to maximize property performance, tenant satisfaction, and compliance within the affordable housing sector.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, preferably within affordable housing.
- Proficiency with Yardi Systems or similar property management software.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws and lease administration processes.
- Experience conducting building inspections and managing maintenance operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Certified Property Manager (CPM) or similar professional designation.
- Experience in real estate development or affordable housing program compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of lease agreements and legal documentation related to property management.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal housing regulations and funding programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple properties or large portfolios effectively.
