Essential Job Duties

• Receive all product and other deliveries for the store.
• Inspect deliveries for both quantity and quality, including temperatures.
• Move freight from the receiving area to department staging areas and storage rooms.
• Record and organize invoices in accordance with Vintage Grocers policies and procedures.
• Report any receiving discrepancies to the appropriate Manager and Buyer.
• Maintain a clean and well organized work area.
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Report all safety hazards and violations to Store Leadership immediately.
• Stock and clean Produce shelves and display cases.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized working and shopping environment by sweeping floors and keeping shelves clean and free of debris, crumbs, dust, etc.
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Operate and sanitize all Produce equipment in a safe and proper manner.

Non-Essential Job Duties

May perform similar and incidental duties as required by Management.

Job Qualifications

Education: High school degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Experience: Produce experience preferred.

Knowledge: Knowledge of basic aspects in the Produce industry.

Language Skills: Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Other: Individual must have reliable transportation to arrive at work on time.

Other Abilities: Ability to maintain a high level of Guest Service.
