- Client is seeking two Mainframe Analysts for code review and reverse engineering of mainframe to identify data source, data analysis and business logic for over 160 view direct reports.
- 7 years of experience as a day-to-day Mainframe Analysts working with IBM Db2, Mainframe TSO, Mainframe JCL, and Mainframe data structure.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews of mainframe applications to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Perform reverse engineering to identify data sources and understand the flow of data within the systems.
- Analyze and interpret complex data structures and business logic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide insights.
- Document findings and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to mainframe applications.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mainframe development.
- Proven experience as a Mainframe Analyst or similar role, with expertise in mainframe technologies (e.g., COBOL, JCL, DB2).
- Strong understanding of data analysis techniques and business logic within mainframe systems.
- Familiarity with reverse engineering tools and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
