Bucket Truck Operator

Hourly wage is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skill level.

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-minded Bucket Truck Operator to join our utility construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a bucket truck, be able and willing to climb utility poles, and preferably have experience working with single-phase and three-phase electrical distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a bucket truck and associated equipment

• Climb utility poles when required

• Assist with hooking up single-phase and 3-phase risers

• Install related equipment for risers

• Perform work from bucket trucks and climbing positions

• Load, unload, carry, and handle heavy materials, tools, and equipment

• Follow proper PPE, grounding, and electrical safety procedures

• Perform daily inspections of trucks, tools, climbing gear, and equipment

• Maintain a clean and safe jobsite

• Follow company and customer safety requirements

• Work effectively with foremen, operators, and ground personnel

Qualifications

• Bucket truck operating experience required

• Must be able and willing to climb utility poles

• Must be physically capable of performing strenuous manual labor and safely lifting and carrying heavy objects

• Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, pull, push, reach, and work at heights for extended periods

• Must be capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Experience with single-phase and three-phase electrical distribution systems preferred

• Knowledge of utility construction tools, equipment, and safe work practices preferred

• Valid driver's license required

• CDL preferred

• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a crew

• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours when required

• Overhead electrical distribution construction

• Single-phase and three-phase systems

• Pole utility pole climbing

• Operating Bucket Truck
