Position Summary: Vinson Hall (VH), a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community located in McLean, VA, is seeking a reliable, team-oriented Porter to support our Environmental Services team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining clean, organized, and safe common areas and facilities for our residents, staff, and visitors. If you’re dependable, hardworking, and take pride in keeping spaces spotless and functional—and you want to be part of a team that positively impacts the lives of older adults—we want YOU to join us!
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or custodial work is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools, cleaning equipment, and safety procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Keep outdoor areas clean and tidy.
- Pick up trash and empty outdoor bins.
- Sweep sidewalks, walkways, and parking areas.
- Help with basic landscaping like mowing, trimming, and watering plants.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Assist with moving items or setting up for events when needed.
- Follow safety rules and use cleaning tools properly.
