Role Description Line cooks and dishwashers are responsible for supporting kitchen operations in a fast-paced, professional environment. Line cooks prepare and cook menu items to restaurant standards, follow recipes, maintain food safety and sanitation, assist with prep work, and collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service. Dishwashers clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintain cleanliness in the dish area, assist with trash removal and basic kitchen organization, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Vinnie’s Steak House & Tavern in Raleigh, NC, requiring evening and weekend availability.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience or strong interest in professional kitchen work, including cooking, food prep, or dishwashing in a restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices, with the ability to follow health and safety guidelines consistently.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail under time pressure.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive, respectful attitude toward colleagues and guests.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry items, and work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
