Food Expeditor/Runner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to enhance the overall dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor the preparation of dishes to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area.
• Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and other staff to facilitate smooth operations.
• Help with bussing tables as needed to support the front-of-house team during peak hours.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or special requests from guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a culinary or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Strong communication skills to effectively relay information between kitchen and service staff.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• A passion for customer service and enhancing guest experiences.
• Familiarity with banquet operations is a plus.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
