Position Title: Medical Coding Trainer
Location: Hampton, VA 23665
Duration:1 Year with 4 Option Years
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide medical coding training and support within the healthcare environment.
- Support coding education and professional development activities.
- Apply knowledge of professional, institutional, and clinical documentation coding practices.
- Support accurate and consistent coding practices in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Provide guidance and training related to clinical documentation and coding processes.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare and administrative personnel.
- Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable Department of Defense and DHA policies and procedures.
Complete required agency and facility-specific training and comply with applicable policies and procedures
To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]
- Relevant education and experience in medical coding, HIM, or a related healthcare field.
- Must hold a recognized coding certification such as CPC, RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P, or CCS.
- Must have a recognized CDI certification such as CCDS, CDIP, CDEO, CDEI, or CCDS-O.
- Strong medical coding, documentation, communication, training, and organizational skills.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Work Location: On the road
