Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and refunds
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products and suggest complementary items to increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and arranging displays
- Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and merchandising
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Ensure proper phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
- Supervise or assist in supervising other team members when needed
- Perform cashiering duties accurately and efficiently during register operations
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Experience in supervising or leading a team is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly desirable
- Knowledge of retail math for handling transactions, discounts, and inventory management
- Ability to demonstrate product features effectively through demos and upselling techniques
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
