Essential Responsibilities
- Perform daily facility tasks as outlined on personal duties sheet, including weekly projects, and report any non-completion to the Ministry Leader.
- Full ownership of all set ups that day, including future events as able. Report all set up issues to Administrative Assistant.
- Work one-on-one to mentor Community Service Volunteers (CSV) and maintain appropriate oversight of tasks according to established ministry guidelines. Minister through conversation (based on CSV's comfort level) to establish rapport and provide opportunities for ministry.
- Order/purchase all necessary supplies to complete tasks, which could include trips to Lowe's, etc.
- Issue vehicle keys, ensuring key log is completed and driver approval is identified on the list of approved VCC drivers.
- Assure the safety of all people on the VCC campus. This will include CPR certification (provided by VCC), knowledge of safety and evacuation policies, etc.
- Promptly respond to incoming questions/requests (via phone/email/radio/walk-in) in a professional manner and maintain accessibility to Ministry Leader and team members by keeping cell phone and radio on hand.
- Assist with training of new team members including set ups, daily workflows , security, alarm response, handling inquiries, HVAC monitoring and adjustments, and attention to details site-wide.
- Respond to and handle emergency fire alarms in a prompt manner, assisting with evacuations, fire department clearance , and resetting of alarms as needed.
- Communicate to Ministry Leader the effectiveness of contracted vendors.
- Assist with routine maintenance of commonly used equipment.
- Assist Facilities by maintaining organization of supply and parts closets at all Tri-County buildings.
- Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting/moving up to 83 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential responsibilities.
