Paramedic

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to provide advanced emergency medical care and transportation to patients in various settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience, including critical care and hospital environments, and demonstrate exceptional patient assessment and intervention skills. This role requires a strong commitment to patient safety, emergency medicine protocols, and teamwork within fast-paced, high-pressure situations.

Duties

• Provide comprehensive pre-hospital emergency medical services, including advanced airway management, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
• Perform thorough patient assessments to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses and prioritize care accordingly.
• Execute critical care interventions such as triage, IV insertion (venipuncture), and aseptic techniques during patient stabilization.
• Manage airway patency using appropriate techniques and equipment; administer injections and medications as prescribed.
• Transport patients safely while continuously monitoring their condition, ensuring adherence to emergency protocols.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, providing detailed reports on patient status and treatment administered during transport.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions, treatments, and procedures performed.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, sanitized, and ready for use in urgent situations.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times to protect patients, team members, and oneself.

Experience

• Critical care experience in hospital settings such as ICU or ER preferred; experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers highly desirable.
• Proven EMT experience with comprehensive knowledge of emergency medicine procedures.
• Hands-on experience with airway management, medication administration, venipuncture, and vital signs assessment.
• Familiarity with physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, DME (durable medical equipment), and aseptic techniques required for effective patient care.
• Experience in critical care transport or urgent care environments is advantageous.
• Prior exposure to heavy lifting and driving emergency vehicles under urgent conditions is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform physical examinations and manage complex medical cases efficiently in high-stress situations. Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
