Vinea Capital is a growing, entrepreneurial group of companies operating across healthcare, real estate, and related service businesses. We are expanding our finance function and seeking a strong accounting professional who can handle day-to-day accounting while also taking ownership of monthly close processes.
Position Summary
We are hiring an Accounting Manager who can function as both a hands-on Staff Accountant and a light Controller across multiple entities.
This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is ideal for a 2–5 year accountant ready for more responsibility, exposure, and career growth.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Accounting
• Record and code daily transactions across multiple entities
• Manage accounts payable and vendor onboarding
• Assist with payroll entries and allocations
• Maintain clean and organized QuickBooks Online files
• Reconcile credit card and expense activity
Month-End Close
• Own the monthly close process for assigned entities
• Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Post adjusting journal entries, accruals, and reclasses
• Prepare monthly financial statements for CFO review
Reporting & Support
• Prepare workpapers and schedules for the CFO and external CPA firm
• Assist with year-end and tax prep needs
• Support special projects tied to an upcoming transaction and business expansion
Process Improvement
• Help standardize charts of accounts and coding practices
• Improve documentation of accounting processes
• Strengthen internal controls and reporting consistency
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 2–5 years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple entities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
