Infant/Toddler Assistant (2.5 hours/week) The Vine is an Anglican (ACNA) church in Haywood County, NC. We share space with another congregation at 1055 Lee Road, Clyde, NC 28721. We are seeking a part-time infant/toddler assistant to help us love, care for, and disciple our littlest members on Sundays. SUMMARY The Infant/Toddler Assistant is responsible for helping lead ministry for infants and toddlers at The Vine on Sundays, facilitating a fun and safe place for our youngest children to begin learning to love and trust Jesus. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Serve in our early childhood classroom on Sundays: 1. Help set up and clean up the early childhood classroom. Setup begins at 3:30PM, and clean-up should be concluded by 5:30PM most every week. (during Standard Time, starting November 2nd, we plan on moving our services back one hour – 2:30PM to 4:30PM). 2. Warmly greet parents and welcome children into the space. Maintain proper check-in protocols, as directed. 3. Partner with volunteers to care for infants and toddlers. Care includes diapering, assisting toddlers in the restroom, maintaining a clean environment, and appropriate health and safety practices. 4. In partnership with a volunteer, lead the planned lesson from our Kids Ministry curriculum. This includes a story, prayer time, and music. 5. Comply with safety policies and ensure best practices are maintained in the classroom. Additional requirements: Satisfactorily complete a background check and online MinistrySafe program Competence in basic first aid Be supportive of the church mission and willing to affirm historic Christian statements of faith (i.e. Nicene Creed and Apostles’ Creed) WEEKLY EXPECTATIONS (2.5 hours) 1. Sunday service time (2 hours, 3:30-5:30PM) 2.
