ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Technical Lead – Electromechanical Systems to join our engineering team in a senior, hands-on role with a clear long-term growth path. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining deep exposure to our products, firmware, test methods, and production workflows. Over time, you will assume increasing technical ownership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop deep technical understanding of Vindum’s high-pressure pumps, valves, control electronics, firmware, and test systems
- Support system-level troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and operator interactions
- Test and improve embedded software/firmware control systems
- Work directly with assembly and test personnel to resolve production issues
- Respond to customer questions and product issues
- Identify and lead product improvements and new product development
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Typically 8 years of experience in electromechanical or embedded systems roles
- Hands-on assembly, testing and troubleshooting of test and production equipment
Preferred:
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation, pumps, valves, or pressure equipment
- Experience with quality assurance for precision machined parts and assemblies
- History of improving product design with cost savings or performance enhancements
- Programming experience: C/C#-language and/or IDE experience (e.g., Visual Studio)
- Familiarity with serial communications (RS-232/485), Modbus, or similar protocols
- Customer Support: Verbal/written support of customer questions and issues
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 (DOE)
