We have an opportunity for a bioinformatician/computational biologist to join our team. You will be involved in solving a diverse set of data analysis challenges for pharma/biotech companies, big and small! We are looking for exceptional candidates based in North Carolina. Given below is a detailed description of the role.
Core Responsibilities
- Analysis of large-scale multi-omics and multi-dimensional data
- Interpretation of complex biological information based on the results of data analyses
- Support projects with client pharma and biotech companies across translational and clinical stages
- Ability to rapidly collaborate with other data scientists working in the project in a fast paced environment
Core Qualifications and Experience
- PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science or a related field
- Experience in languages such as R, Python, and related tools
- Experience with supervised learning (ML/AI) and statistical modeling and analysis
- Hands-on experience in NGS data analysis
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively communicate complex computational concepts and findings
- Ability to work independently with general direction to meet objectives and timelines, adapting to changes and priorities to fulfill the client requirements in the project.
- Standard code and data management practices with proper documentation
- Experience with Unix-based systems and cloud computing environments
