Paralegal

Vindex Privatus, PLLC — a modern, specialized consumer-protection and plaintiff's litigation firm in Coral Gables, FL — is hiring an entry-level Paralegal / Legal Assistant to help manage our growing caseload (60 active matters).

We handle FCRA, FDCPA, TCPA, and FCCPA consumer-protection cases, premises liability, personal injury, insurance bad faith, aviation torts, and civil litigation. We also have a wealth-protection practice (estate planning, LLC formation, contracts) and life-transitions work (divorce, immigration, landlord-tenant).

This is an entry-level role — paralegal certificate or paralegal studies degree is sufficient. We will train you on everything firm-specific, including Florida e-filing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Draft legal documents (Answers, motions, discovery responses, demand letters) using our templates and our AI legal assistant, Minerva

• Respond to client and opposing counsel emails under attorney supervision

• Manage case deadlines and court filings

• Conduct legal research and verify case law citations

• Organize and maintain client files on Google Drive

• Process new client intakes

• E-file documents in Florida state courts and federal CM/ECF (we'll train you if new to e-filing)

REQUIREMENTS

• Paralegal certificate, paralegal studies degree, legal studies degree, or current law student (2L/3L welcome)

• Strong written English — legal documents must be error-free

• Detail-oriented and organized

• Comfortable with technology — Google Workspace, web-based tools, AI tools

• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace

• Availability during EST business hours (flexible scheduling; some daytime overlap required)

PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED)

• Prior exposure to consumer-protection, civil litigation, or personal injury

• Familiarity with the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal (myflcourtaccess.com)

• Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole)

• Florida Notary Public certification

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $20.00 per hour (1099 contractor)

• 15–20 hours per week to start, with flexibility
