Our Laundry Aides play an important behind-the-scenes role in resident care by making sure clean linens, clothing, and other laundry items are available when and where they are needed.

What You'll Do

As a Laundry Aide, you'll help keep our residents' clothing, linens, and living spaces clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting, sorting, counting, checking, and weighing soiled linens and clothing
• Operating washers and dryers and following proper laundry procedures
• Using appropriate stain-removal techniques
• Ironing, folding, inspecting, and organizing clean laundry
• Delivering clean linens and clothing to the appropriate locations throughout the facility
• Maintaining an adequate supply of clean linens and laundry supplies
• Keeping resident rooms and public areas clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive
• Following established cleaning, infection control, and cross-contamination prevention procedures
• Properly using cleaning products, disinfectants, equipment, and personal protective equipment
• Following manufacturer instructions and safety procedures when using chemicals and equipment
• Keeping laundry, housekeeping, and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Cleaning and properly storing laundry equipment
• Monitoring supplies and communicating supply needs to supervisors
• Completing required work records and following established cleaning and laundry schedules
• Reporting hazardous conditions, equipment malfunctions, or other concerns
• Using equipment and resources efficiently and responsibly
• Working collaboratively with team members to support the overall needs of the campus

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred:

• At least one year of housekeeping or laundry experience
• Familiarity with common laundry appliances and equipment
• Ability to learn routine machine operations and follow established procedures
• Ability to accurately track laundry quantities and maintain production or inventory records

We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and takes pride in their work. Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is helpful, but we're also looking for individuals who are willing to learn and work as part of a team.
