Maintenance Technician –Full time
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | $22–$25/hour, Based on Experience
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, skilled, and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and having a variety of projects throughout the week. You won't be doing the same repair every day. Our properties have ongoing maintenance needs and improvement projects that keep the work interesting and varied.
The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, troubleshoot problems, and take pride in completing quality work.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine the appropriate repair
- Perform repairs and maintenance as needed
- Complete repairs whenever possible before considering replacement
- Handle general handyman and apartment maintenance projects
- Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs
- Work on doors, fixtures, appliances, drywall, flooring, and other property-related repairs
- Identify repairs that are outside your scope and communicate them to the office
- Respond promptly to maintenance calls and texts
- Help ensure apartments and common areas are safe, functional, and well-maintained
- Provide after-hours availability for emergency maintenance when needed
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is dependable, resourceful, and comfortable figuring things out.
Experience in any of the following is valuable:
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- General handyman work
- Carpentry
- Drywall and painting
- Flooring
- Appliance repair
- Apartment or property maintenance
Previous maintenance, handyman, or contracting experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Reliable and dependable
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Basic computer and smartphone skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Previous maintenance or contracting experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check
