Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Attorney with roughly five (5) or more years of relevant experience to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction law and litigation, exceptional analytical and writing skills, and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution. This position offers the opportunity to handle challenging and rewarding work in a collegial, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of construction litigation matters, including defect claims, insurance disputes, lien law, and contract-related issues.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and appellate briefs.
- Represent clients in mediations, depositions, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
- Provide legal analysis and advice on complex construction and commercial issues.
- Review and negotiate construction contracts, bid documents, and change orders.
- Work closely with firm partners, clients, and industry professionals to deliver effective, results-driven representation.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
- Roughly 5 or more years of experience in construction litigation, insurance defense, or commercial litigation.
- Strong knowledge of construction law, lien law, and Florida statutes.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Trial or arbitration experience preferred.
