Vincennes University is seeking applicants for the Site Director / Instructor at the Gene Haas Technical Education Center, located in Lebanon, Indiana. This is a full-time professional staff position. The Gene Haas Technical Education Center (GHTEC) Site Director/Instructor is responsible to the Assistant Vice President of Outreach & Engagement for all programming and activities at GHTEC, with particular current focus on the delivery of quality instruction and management of students enrolled in Automation and Robotics/Industrial Maintenance, collaborative robots, and CNC training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach courses (as applicable) to a diverse student body of nontraditional and traditional learners.
- Hire adjunct faculty to instruct courses to meet the needs of industry partners
- Engage student interest to support a variety of learning styles.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of the curriculum necessary to meet the instructional needs of the GHTEC.
- Support installation, implementation, and maintenance of training equipment and systems for programming and certification
- Train corporate partners and other industrial and manufacturing customers.
- Maintain records of student enrollment and performance.
- Interact professionally in person and online with internal and external partners, stakeholders, and students.
Required Skills and Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in electricity, engineering, industrial maintenance, robotics, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with electricity, electric motor circuits, control circuits, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives systems, safety and print reading.
