Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing precise CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programs that drive our machining equipment, ensuring optimal efficiency, accuracy, and quality. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and machining processes will be essential in translating design concepts into high-quality finished products. Must be able to program Fadal controls.
Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machines such as CNC milling machines, and electrical discharge machining equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) .
- Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Set up and calibrate CNC machines, including Fanuc controllers, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and workpiece alignment.
- Perform precision measurements using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
- Troubleshoot machining issues by analyzing geometry, tooling wear, and machine performance; implement improvements following lean manufacturing principles.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and inspection reports for quality control purposes.
- Fadal control is a must
Experience
- Proven experience in CNC programming for both milling machines and lathes in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling selection, geometry calculations, and machining best practices.
- Ability to operate precision measurement instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines confidently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.51 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
