Job Title: Horizon VDI Support Specialist
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
About the Role
We are looking for a customer-focused Horizon VDI Support Specialist to manage, support, and optimize VMware Horizon environments. This hybrid role spans Level 1 to Level 3 support, ensuring a secure, reliable, and high-performance virtual desktop experience for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope support for VMware Horizon (access, performance, profiles, printing).
- Build, maintain, and patch golden images.
- Create/manage persistent and non-persistent desktop pools.
- Troubleshoot app and profile issues within VDI sessions.
- Monitor system health and implement updates/fixes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
- Support user onboarding and image-related UAT.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2 years in IT support, with 1 year in VDI environments.
- Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon View (7.x/8.x), Windows 10/11, AD, and GPOs.
- Familiarity with Horizon Console, vSphere, and PowerShell basics.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Clear communication and strong customer service mindset.
