🚁 Mechatronics Engineer - Defense Tech Startup
Vilya Systems is building NDAA-compliant EO/IR gimbals for tactical drones. With the Pentagon phasing out foreign suppliers and requiring 30,000 tactical drones, we're creating the domestic alternative that Blue UAS manufacturers need.
What You'll Do:
- Design motor control electronics and servo integration for 3-axis gimbal stabilization
- Develop sensor fusion algorithms (IMU/gyro integration)
- Handle thermal management for EO/IR sensors (FLIR Boson 640, Tenum 1280)
- Own mechanical design from concept through manufacturing
- Interface directly with Blue UAS platform manufacturers
What We're Looking For:
- 3 years motor control systems and servo integration experience
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.)
- Embedded systems and microcontroller experience
- Strong control theory background (PID/advanced algorithms)
- US Citizenship required
