Position Summary
The Senior Systems Analyst (Lab Systems Analyst) will serve in a supporting role within a laboratory environment, providing hands-on support for laboratory systems and instruments. This position plays a key role in ensuring laboratory systems operate efficiently and in compliance with Abbott Quality System (QS) and laboratory requirements. The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for laboratory systems, documentation, and change management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support laboratory systems and instruments within a regulated laboratory environment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Abbott Quality System (QS) and laboratory requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for laboratory systems, equipment, and workflows.
- Support instrument qualification activities, including protocol development and report creation.
- Perform software installation, configuration, and validation activities.
- Draft system-specific procedures and create training materials for laboratory personnel.
- Administer laboratory software applications and conduct end-user training as needed.
- Manage documentation and system changes using Windchill.
- Support and maintain Chromatography Data Systems (CDS).
- Collaborate closely with laboratory staff to ensure system reliability and compliance.
Required Skills & Experience (Top 3)
- Laboratory background in Chemistry and/or Life Sciences
- Hands-on experience with Chromatography Data Systems (CDS)
- Subject matter expertise in laboratory systems, including documentation and change management using Windchill
Additional Qualifications
- 3–7 years of relevant laboratory or laboratory systems experience
- Experience with instrument qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Knowledge of software validation processes in regulated environments
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex calculations
- Experience drafting SOPs, system procedures, and training documentation
- Familiarity with LabVantage or other Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Work Environment
- Fully onsite laboratory support role
- Daytime hours, Monday through Friday
- Regulated medical device and laboratory setting
- Collaborative work with laboratory, quality, and technical teams
