We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supermarket Store Manager to oversee our retail operations and drive sales performance on beautiful Shelter Island.

Our busy season is Memorial Day-Labor day, but we are open all year.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in a Supermarket only setting management.
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, effective team management, and efficient store operations. Your ability to negotiate, manage inventory, and develop your team will be crucial to our success.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store operations to ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
- Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising.
- Oversee employee orientation, training & development, and performance evaluations. Hiring and Firing.
- Conduct interviews and assist in recruiting top talent for the team.
- Implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Utilize retail math to analyze sales data and make informed decisions regarding pricing and promotions.
- Ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed by all staff members.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team management.
- Responsible for overseeing the schedule for the store
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Qualifications
Must be proficient in the English Language
Must be authorized to work in the US
- Proven experience in supmermarket store management or as an assistant store manager with supervisory experience. Others need not apply
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and retail math principles.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to manage time effectively while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Unload and pack out when needed
