Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Plant Operations/Environmental Service Director to join our Assisted Living team. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, particularly within healthcare environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental services, including commercial cleaning and custodial practices, while adhering to OSHA regulations to promote a safe and healthy environment for all. As well as general knowledge of maintenance techniques needed to maintain the facility.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with sanitation and cleanliness standards.
- Implement effective cleaning protocols for various areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and specialized hospital environments.
- Oversee floor care activities, ensuring proper techniques and products are used for different surfaces.
- Train and supervise custodial staff on best practices in environmental services and safety procedures.
- Develop and maintain cleaning schedules that align with assisted living operations while minimizing disruption.
- Collaborate with other departments to address specific cleaning needs or concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and compliance with health regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in environmental services, particularly within a assisted living or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards related to workplace safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and floor care methods.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership skills when supervising staff.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Effective communication skills to interact with staff at all levels within the organization.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
