Responsibilities
- Assist in managing leasing activities, including property tours, tenant screening, and lease signings, with a focus on property leasing and upselling opportunities
- Support property maintenance coordination by liaising with vendors and ensuring timely resolution of repair requests
- Maintain accurate data entry of tenant information, rent payments, and service requests using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, and other legal requirements related to landlord-tenant law
- Handle customer service inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy, fostering positive tenant relationships
- Prepare and organize legal administrative documents, contracts, and filing systems to support property operations
- Assist in conflict management by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally while adhering to office etiquette standards
- Support facilities management tasks including property inspections, safety checks, and coordinating repairs or improvements through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs is a plus
- Familiarity with Yardi, OneSite or similar property management software; strong data entry skills
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, and legal administrative procedures
- Demonstrated customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to negotiate contracts and upsell rental units or ancillary services effectively
- Office experience including filing, data management, and general administrative support; facilities management knowledge is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
