What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor 1st Shift / conserje primero Turno position at Villari Foods?
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for keeping the non-production areas clean, disinfected, organized and safe for all employees.
Specific Duties:
Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms and all office areas which includes sanitizing and disinfecting refrigerators, microwaves, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of floors and wiping down tables and chairs.
Maintain hand-soap, hand sanitizer and paper towel dispensers.
Report damage or out of order facilities to management.
Maintain all required cleaning/janitorial logs and checklists updated daily.
Disinfect/Sanitize all surfaces commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools, phones and in the main entrance areas.
Maintain cleaning inventory.
Maintain outdoor trash and grounds pickup.
Remove debris from sidewalks.
Empty trash and recycling bins.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. To perform assigned duties the following will occur: Standing on ones feet for long periods of time, walking, and lifting. The employee is regularly required to sit/stand, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a cold, wet environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually below 85 db for a time weighted average of 8 hours.
