The Institute for Augustinian Studies at Villanova University invites applications for the Thomas F. Martin Saint Augustine Fellowship for the Fall 2024 semester.
Each Fall semester Villanova University invites a scholar both to engage in their own research and to make it available to the university community by participating in varied conversations – with faculty, graduate and undergraduate students and other scholars in this region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This fellowship, in addition to providing an opportunity for personal research, includes collaboration with students and faculty on matters that concern the understanding and communication of Augustinian ideas and ideals. Requires some availability for informal conversations; leading seminars with faculty and graduate students; possibly giving a lecture on the topic related to present research.
Minimum Qualifications:
This fellowship is for a tenured scholar whose experience and publication record is known within the community of Augustine scholars.

Salary Posting Information:
The Semester stipend for the Thomas F Martin Fellow is $45,000.00. Medical benefits are provided by Villanova University from September 1. The Augustinian Institute rents a house for the semester, a benefit that is subject to federal law, as imputed income to the fellow.
