Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and art or dance therapy when appropriate.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or emergencies.
• Facilitate intake processes, develop personalized treatment plans, and maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide specialized counseling for various issues including PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to outpatient services and deliver remote therapy sessions when necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding standards, CPT coding practices for billing purposes, and current clinical research developments.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure or certification as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LPCC, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LICSW, LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or equivalent state credentialing.
• Proven experience working in outpatient mental health settings with diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities.
• Strong skills in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and art or dance therapy preferred.
• Experience with crisis intervention, crisis management protocols, and behavior management strategies essential.
• Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation; CPT coding knowledge is a plus for billing processes.
• Proficiency in medical records management while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards; experience with telehealth technology is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and foster trust with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a flexible approach to patient care needs. Pay: $30.00 - $65.00 per hour
