Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Server to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using various POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Assist with bussing tables, refilling beverages, and ensuring cleanliness of dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special dietary needs or requests
- Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, wine pairings, and restaurant promotions to provide informed recommendations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is advantageous
- Experience in culinary arts or food preparation can be a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Background in hospitality or guest services roles such as host/host or bartender is beneficial
- Basic math skills for cashiering and processing payments accurately
