About the Role:

As a Perishable Assistant Store Manager you will support the Store Manager in leading daily operations with a focus on fresh departments (Deli/Appy, Produce, Bakery, Floral, Meat, Seafood, Food Service). You’ll drive sales, ensure operational excellence, and develop a high-performing team while delivering a strong customer experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Create a safety culture and execute safety training, procedures, company policies and practices to ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and employees.
• Monitor stocks levels, manage store inventory levels, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Oversee sales activities, promote the store and its products, and implement marketing campaigns to drive traffic and increase sales. Ensure displays are properly maintained and refreshed to reflect seasonal changes, promotions, proper signage, and new product launches.
• Executes and manages store budgets, ensuring financial goals are met including profitability.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including scheduling, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Employee Development: Provide opportunities for employees to grow and develop their skills and create a positive work environment.
• Identify and resolve problems as they arise and make decisions to improve the overall performance of the store.
